Description
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Goofy Model Sheet Group (Walt Disney, 1937). In order to maintain continuity, the Walt Disney Studio prepared model sheets for each character in every cartoon. In those pre-Xerox days, photographic prints were made and distributed within the studio. Here are several vintage 10" x 12" Snow White model sheets on photo print paper, including one of Dopey with ten images; one of Grumpy with ten poses; a great Bashful model sheet with seven different images, and a construction model sheet with details on how to properly draw Doc, Happy, and Sneezy. Also included are two Don Towsley model sheets of Goofy dated 8/4/37, one with eight poses, the other with nine. Two of the Dwarf model sheets have a blank nitrate cel stapled over them (the Bashful and Grumpy sheets are stapled back-to-back with nitrate cels over each); all have some degree of pinhole and/or handling wear, indicating serious use. Six vintage Disney model sheets in all (seven, counting the two stapled together) make up this lot.Auction Info
