Description

Fred Eng (attributed) Jetta #6 Complete 6-Page Story "Time Out for Trouble" Original Art (Pines/Standard, 1953). Futuristic teenagers Zoomer and Atomica go time-tripping to the 20th century, with comical consequences and a safe-and-sound back-to-the-future finale for all concerned. Brilliant combination of SF and Archie-style slapstick. The Grand Comics Database isn't sure about the penciler attribution here, suggesting possibly legendary Archie artist Dan DeCarlo (who did do work on the series) or Fred Eng. Other noted DeCarlo experts including Bill Morrison (The Simpsons, Futurama, Bongo Comics) indicate that the work for this story is pure Eng. Ink over graphite on Bristol board, measuring 12" x 18". Aside from some age-toned and paste-up retouching, the pages average out at Very Good condition.

More Information: EDIT: Change in art attribution from Dan DeCarlo pencils to Fred Eng.
