Description

Frank Cho Street Fighter Legends: Cammy #1 Variant Cover Original Art (UDON, 2016). This titillating image of Cammy, created for UDON's Street Fighter series of comics, was used on a range of variant covers, including a 1:10 version with her standard green uniform, a dealer exclusive cover featuring her alternate blue uniform, and a 1:20 black/white sketch cover. The anatomically-impossible pose is a direct homage to Italian master Milo Manara's controversial variant cover of Spider-Woman #1, the original artwork for which Heritage proudly presented for auction in 2020 and sold for a staggering $37,500! Ink and grey tone wash with red ink key lines over graphite on bright white Bristol board with an image area of 11" x 12". The back of the board contains a preliminary graphite sketch of a female character, possibly one of Cho's signature characters, Shanna, the She-Devil, grabbing a dinosaur by its tail. Signed and in Excellent condition.
