Description

Fantasia "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" Yen Sid Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). Mickey Mouse's greatest role is considered to be "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", and this is a phenomenal 12 field animation drawing of Mickey's mentor, the sorcerer Yen Sid (that's Disney spelled backwards by the way!). Yen Sid art is extremely rare and sought after by collectors. For the landmark film, this intimidating character was animated by both Bill Tytla and Robert Carlson. This ominous image, done in graphite with blue highlights, is a stunning 6" x 10". Robert Carlson scribed his initials in the upper right corner. A number "81" is written in the bottom right corner as well. Two matching effects drawings of a highlighted shadow line are included in the lot. These effects drawings are marked D81 and MD-81. In Fine condition.
