Howard Chaykin and Al Milgrom Marvel Presents #5 Guardians of the Galaxy Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1976). Martinex prepares to transport the other Guardians off the ship to perform repairs on this opening title splash from "Planet of the Absurd!" featuring Martinex, Yondu, Vance Astro, Nikki, and Charlie-27. A great shot of the original Guardians team rendered in ink and screentone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight toning, unevenly trimmed edges, indentation on the top left edge, discolored stat header and taped indicia paste-ups, yellowing shading film, tape adhesive staining on the top/bottom edges, blue pencil editorial marks, whiteout corrections, with staining and handling wear.
