Description
Bernie Wrightson and Kevin Nowlan Batman: Hidden Treasures #1 Splash Page 2 Original Art (DC, 2010). Bernie Wrightson's splash page captures the Batmobile entering Gotham, framed by towering buildings, with a Gotham Gazette headline "Krazy Killer", changed to "Sewer Killer" for the printed page, lying in the street. This striking image is part of a 22-page Batman story composed entirely of splash pages, originally drafted by Wrightson in 1997 but unpublished until 2010. Created decades before it was first published, "Splash" centers on the classic Frankenstein-esque DC villain and is told entirely through splashes offset by a text story in the margins. Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 7.5" x 15". Signed by Wrightson in the lower margin. In Excellent condition.More information about Bernie Wrightson.
