Description

John Romita Sr. - Spider-Man Sketch Original Art (1975). This spectacular full-body sketch of Spider-Man in his signature pose was created by John Romita Sr. in 1975 during a visit to Manila and was personally gifted to celebrated artist Alfredo P. Alcala, complete with an inscription addressed to "Pidong," Alcala's Filipino nickname. A Letter of Authenticity written and signed by Alfredo Alcala's son, attributing the provenance, is included with the lot. The sketch is rendered in graphite on 11.25" x 16" textured board. The board is toned, with a frame shadow, small stains, corner creasing, and handling wear. Signed and inscribed by John Romita Sr. In Very Good condition.
