Jack Kirby and Frank Giacoia Tales of Suspense #81 Captain America Story Page 6 Original Art (Marvel, 1966). What a Kirby knockout from the mighty Marvel Age of Comics! This twice-up stunner delivers three poster-worthy panels, each bursting with Kirby's trademark dynamism. Captain America squares off against "The Red Skull Supreme", after the Nazi villain seizes the dreaded Cosmic Cube, granting him godlike power with a mere thought. The Cosmic Cube would later find new fame in the MCU as the Tesseract, housing the Space Stone and fueling Marvel's cinematic mythology. Pure powerhouse storytelling from the King, co-creator of both Cap and Skull, created at twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5", matted to 17.5" x 25". Light toning, minor staining, minor edge tear, dust shadows on edges, smudging, whiteout corrections, marginal story notes, blue pencil editorial marks, and edge/handling wear.
