Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers The Avengers #8 Story Page 16 Original Art (Marvel, 1964). This page, from early in the tentpole title that helped shape the future of the Marvel Universe, features a transformation sequence for the mighty Thor in the top tier, and appearances on the rest of the page by Rick Jones, Captain America, Giant-Man, Iron Man, and the Wasp! That's the entire team on a single page! Either of these things would make for a great page, but to get both the transformation and the entire team line-up (including Rick Jones) is really special!The twice-up scale page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". There are bits of whiteout art corrections on the board -- mostly costume alterations, such as the yoke of Giant-Man's tunic and the rivets on Iron Man's helmet. Signed by Jack Kirby in the last panel. Glass-front framed to 17.5" x 23.75". The toned board is in Very Good condition.
