Description

Sensation Comics #1 (DC, 1942) CGC VG+ 4.5 Off-white pages. A solid copy of a book we see only infrequently, especially unrestored copies in any grade. Wonder Woman became the headliner of this title roughly a month after her first appearance in All Star Comics #8, and continued to do so for 106 issues. Before the year was out, she had her own self-titled series, and has since become one of DC's major characters, behind only Superman and Batman. This issue also has the origins and first appearances of Wildcat, Mr. Terrific, and the Gay Ghost. The cover is by H. G. Peter, who also provided story art alongside Sheldon Moldoff and Irwin Hasen. Overstreet 2021 VG 4.0 value = $21,000. CGC census 9/21: 6 in 4.5, 36 higher.
