Description
Hal Foster Prince Valiant #1563 Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 1-22-67 (King Features Syndicate, 1967). This Sunday is full of Royal Court intrigue, back-stabbing, and trickery. Some of that gets blamed on Val! Created in the usual huge-scale that Foster preferred to work, these panels were produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board. They were since trimmed out of the board and affixed to a larger illustration board backing with an overall image area of 22.5" x 35.5". All text is hand-lettered paste-up.
