Captain America Comics #1 (Timely, 1941) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Cream to off-white pages. An issue that has been gaining ground on Marvel Comics #1 for years, for the honor of being the most valuable Timely issue of all. It's been consistently selling for over-Guide in all grades, and a VG 4.0 copy recently (September 2021) fetched nearly triple the Overstreet Guide value in one of our Signature auctions! Herein are the origins and first appearances of Captain America and Bucky, along with the first appearance of the riotous Red Skull. Joe Simon and Jack Kirby's Hitler cover is certifiably a "classic." The duo also provided interior art for the issue. The book currently resides in the #7 position on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. Overstreet 2021 GD 2.0 value = $31,000; VG 4.0 value = $62,000.
