Description

Buster Brown His Dog Tige and Their Jolly Times (Cupples & Leon, 1906) Condition: VG/FN. This is by far the nicest copy of this more than 100 year old book that we've ever had the opportunity to offer. We were surprised to see it in such nice shape when it arrived from our consignor. Buster Brown's dog Tige, an American Pit Bull Terrier, is thought to have been the first talking pet to appear anywhere in American comics, and like that of many of his successors, his speech goes unnoticed by adults. A large format book, it measures approximately 11" x 16" and contains 46 pages. Overstreet 2014 GD 2.0 value = $163; FN 6.0 value = $600.
