Description

Charles Schulz Peanuts Daily Comic Strip Charlie Brown and Shermy Original Art dated 5-3-54 (United Feature Syndicate, 1954). Having started in 1951, this beloved comic strip was only three years old at this point. Here, Charlie Brown finds out that War Comics are Heck. As poignant today as it was then, this was a Blockhead's early experience with existential dread... the kind that will likely drive him to Lucy's psychiatry booth in later years. We have noticed that Peanuts strips that include comic books or comic strips are often in demand by savvy collectors. This was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 27.25" x 5". The board is lightly toned, and has been folded between center panels to allow mailing to the syndicate and back. In Very Good condition.
