Charles Saxon New Yorker Magazine Unpublished Alternate Version One-Panel Gag Comic Strip Original Art (New Yorker, 1972). This is an unpublished, alternate version of a published cartoon from this issue in 1972. This piece was made a gift to noted cartoonist Roy Doty and personally inscribed to him in the top margin. The piece is ink and ink wash over graphite on paper, with an image area of approximately 11" x 14". It is affixed to illustration board. Slight tanning and the hand written inscription and gag caption have faded. In Very Good condition.
