Description

Will Eisner The Spirit Section "The School for Girls" Page 2 Original Art dated 1-19-47 (Will Eisner, 1947). P'Gell's young stepdaughter Saree is featured in this tale, which finds Spirit's old flame and occasional nemesis P'Gell as the headmistress of an exclusive girl's school. Naturally, there's some funny business going on! This page is missing an art correction that had Spirit and P'Gell in a long camera shot; it's interesting to see the panel he rejected, with Spirit doing a quick about-face when P'Gell's new husband finds himself dodging a dagger. The ink and graphite art on bristol has an image area of approximately 13" x 18", and is in Very Good condition. It's been signed in the lower right corner.
