Description
Dennis the Menace Dennis and Ruff RARE Publicity Cel with Publicity Drawing (DIC, c.1980s). Run Ruff! Dennis menaces his poor dog Ruff in this rare hand-painted DIC Studio publicity cel presented on a hand-painted gouache background. Also included is a 12 field hand-inked publicity drawing rendered in marker. Dennis the Menace was created as a newspaper comic strip by former Walter Lantz and Walt Disney Studios animator Hank Ketcham (1920 - 2001). Following the energetic, trouble-prone, mischievous, but well-meaning Dennis as he grows up in a typically peaceful (when Dennis isn't up to something) suburban neighborhood. The publicity cel is presented in a mat display of 15.75" x 12.75" with a viewing window of 11.5" x 8.5". The cel has light handling wear, and the drawing has moderate handling wear including creases, folded corners, wrinkling, and a few specs of white out throughout the image. The publicity cel is in Very Good condition, and the drawing is in Good condition.Auction Info
