Description

Ron Frenz and Joe Rubinstein The Amazing Spider-Man #256 Story Page 4 Original Art (Marvel, 1984). Frenz and Rubenstein indulge their shared fondness for Spider-Man source-artist Steve Ditko with this Ditko-inspired high-contrast battle sequence -- highlighted by an early appearance of Spider-Man's alien-symbiote black costume, and by a timely interruption from Felicia "Black Cat" Hardy. Created in ink and Zipatone shading film over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 10" x 15". The unevenly toned board has corner docks and an erratically tripped upper edge, in addition to deterioration and adhesive staining in the Zip film (Panel 7). Very Good condition.
