Description
C. C. Beck Captain Marvel Adventures #139 Cover Original Art (Fawcett, 1952). Holey Moley! Captain Marvel battles the vicious Red Crusher on this exciting Cold War cover. The twice-up wonder was produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11.5" x 16". There appears to have been some kind of restoration work performed, as there is a 4" rip in the lower right that is mended with tape on the reverse side, and tan color paint on the front. There are several other tan paint touch-ups in the side margins. The logo/masthead is a replacement stat affixed directly to the art board. In Very Good condition.More information about C. C. Beck.
