Description

George Tuska Crime Does Not Pay #67 "Once There Were Three Killers From Brooklyn..." Title Page Original Art (Lev Gleason, 1948). The three killers were named Shapiro, brothers who sold illegal booze during Prohibition, and by the looks of things, they were pretty tough customers! Original Tuska art for Crime Does Not Pay from the 1940s is notoriously difficult to come by. The sharp artwork by George Tuska is in ink over graphite on board, with an image area of 12" x 18", matted and framed with glass for an overall size of 16" x 22.5". Very Good condition, with one word balloon correction missing and overall toning.
