Description
Adrian Tomine Optic Nerve #8 "Bomb Scare" Page 20 Original Art (Drawn and Quarterly, 2001). High school friends Scotty and Alex are picked on and called "gay" by other students, and after a sleep-over, Scotty thinks they may be right about Alex, in this page from the book-length story, "Bomb Scare." Adrian Tomine has taken his rightful place among today's modern cartoonists like Jaime Hernandez, Dan Clowes, and Chester Brown in telling stories about the human condition. His clean-line art style is particularly pleasing, and this quiet, thoughtful page would make a great addition to anyone's collection. Ink, graphite, and blue pencil on Bristol board, with an image area of 10.25" x 16", with a second-color velum overlay attached by tape. Overall Excellent condition. Optic Nerve pages rarely come up for auction, so we advise keeping an eye on this one!Auction Info
