Description

Al Williamson and Frank Frazetta Crime SuspenStories #17 "Fired!" Page 2 Original Art (EC, 1953). Ranch hand Roy is getting in over his head with owner Patricia, a lonely, pretty woman in need of companionship. This stunningly beautiful page shows all the hallmarks of Frank Frazetta's delicate inking; each image of Pat's face is more attractive than the last. A fantastic page by two of the all-time greats. This piece was done in ink over graphite on Bristol board, and has an image area of 13" x 18". The piece has been signed and inscribed "To Wally Best Always -- Al Williamson" in the bottom right margin -- we wonder if "Wally" was Al's famous fellow EC staffer? We may never know! There is a horizontal crease through the whole piece, going through the word balloons of the bottom tier. In Very Good condition.
