Description

Barry Windsor-Smith Machine Man #4 Story Page 15 Original Art (Marvel, 1985). A wonderfully detailed page featuring Sunset Bain and Iron Man 2020. The character (aka X-51 and/or Aaron Stack) was created by Jack Kirby in his 2001: A Space Odyssey adaptation. Windsor-Smith started at Marvel in the 1970s and was well-known as Barry Smith when he was the artist on Conan the Barbarian. This page of high-tech high-drama was crafted in ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The top edge and bottom right corner are trimmed, and the page is lightly toned. A hidden bonus are some pencil roughs on the backside of the board. Overall, in Excellent condition.
