Description

John Romita Jr. and Tony DeZuniga Marvel Comics Super Special #5 "KISS" Pages 18 and 19 Original Art (Marvel, 1978). Heritage has never before offered Marvel KISS art, and we've heard that Gene Simmons himself has bought up much of the original art that exists. KISS has had a fanatical following since the mid-1970s, and even kids too young to listen to their music knew about them and their outlandish garb! This double-pager has all four of the guys (Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss) in their "Love Gun" outfits. What more could a member of the KISS army ask for? As a bonus, the back of the art has a rough pencil sketch of a barbarian and a woman, presumably Conan and Red Sonja. This piece has an overall image area of 22" x 16.75". Two individual pages are taped together (with clear tape in front, masking tape in back). There are traces of white-out, there is some browning on the stats, and the cyclists' flame effects are on a separate overlay. Good condition.
