Description
John Byrne Secret Origins Annual #1 Doom Patrol Cover Original Art (DC, 1987). This cover features the original Doom Patrol (who first appeared in 1963) and the "All-New/All-Different" Doom Patrol (who first appeared in 1977). The uncanny team would keep turning up into the Vertigo era, and even got a TV series in 2019. This split-image cover also features a cameo of Captain Comet in the lower right of the image area. Created in ink over graphite on DC/Sparta cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". Signed and personalized "To Paul" in the UPC box. In Excellent condition.From the David Mandel Collection.
