Description

John Byrne Fantastic Four #291 She-Hulk Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1986). This homage to the cover of Action Comics #1 features She-Hulk in the Superman role! The Jade Giantess had replaced the Thing on the FF team after the Secret Wars cross-company event. John Byrne's run on the Fantastic Four was highly regarded, considered by many as second only to the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby era of Marvel's First Family.
This loving tribute was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". There is an acetate overlay with stat paste-ups of all the trade dressing. The cover is signed by John Byrne in the UPC box in the lower left, and also signed by Marvel's Editor-in-Chief Jim Shooter in the lower margin. The board is toned and slightly sunstruck. In Very Good condition.
