Description

Victor Prezio Monster World #4 Cover Original Art (Warren, 1965). The Creature, also known as the Gill-man, debuted in the Jack Arnold movie released in 1954, and is fondly remembered today as part of the classic Universal Monsters roster. Here, an angry-looking Gill-man dominates the cover for the short lived sister magazine to Famous Monsters of Filmland. Monster World was nearly identical to Famous, but not selling nearly as well, it was phased out after 10 issues.
Produced with textured oils on heavy-duty fibreboard with an edge-to-edge image area of 17.25" x 21.5". Age-toned, with marginal handling wear and extensive brush-stroke tests, marginal pinholes, corner bends and creases, with production marks in lower image area. In Very Good condition.
From the Roger Hill Collection.
