Description
Suspense Comics #3 (Continental Magazines, 1944) CGC FR/GD 1.5 Off-white pages. Collectors are understandably drawn to this issue by the classic bondage cover from Alex Schomburg, but the book's allure is further enhanced by its rarity. The Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books rates it a "9" ("very rare"), and even in this grade, CGC has certified a mere 13 copies in higher grade! Only five copies have been certified higher than FN 6.0! This copy's eye appeal is better than one would expect for the grade. Since 2001, the issue has climbed from #67 to #26 on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics list -- and it seems poised to climb even higher, consistently fetching multiples of Guide prices at auction. L. B. Cole provided interior art. Overstreet 2024 GD 2.0 value = $12,950. CGC census 4/25: 4 in 1.5, 15 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
