Detective Comics #140 (DC, 1948) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white to white pages. Riddle me this, Batman: I'm clad in green and ever so mean; I'll give you a clue, in Detective Comics #140 I debut -- who am I? Why, it's the Riddler (Edward Nigma), of course, whose origin is told in this nice copy sporting a classic Win Mortimer cover, which also features Batman and Robin, trapped in one of the villain's puzzling predicaments. The issue features interior art from legends Dick Sprang and Curt Swan, and is currently on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. Overstreet 2024 VF 8.0 value = $25,000. CGC census 8/25: 5 in 7.5, 12 higher.
