Despite handling many remarkable Detective Comics runs over the years, this is only the second time we've encountered a copy of this issue in such a remarkable grade! Featuring Robin's second adventure and the first appearance of Clayface on the final page of the Batman story, this issue is also notable for its inclusion of an opium-themed story and a full-page ad for Batman #1. Artwork by Jack Lehti, Fred Guardineer, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson. Overstreet 2024 VF 8.0 value = $11,400; VF/NM 9.0 value = $20,700. CGC census 4/25: 3 in 8.5, 1 higher.
