Description

Frank Miller Amazing Spider-Man #219 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1981). Right in the middle of his redefining run on Daredevil, Frank Miller gives us a rather disturbing image of Petey for the cover of Denny O'Neil's story "Peter Parker -- Criminal!" A striking and powerful cover, it was created in ink over graphite on DuoTone board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". This original art comes with the original protective cover board which has a note from Frank Miller asking to keep the DuoTone board covered as it is light-sensitive. An included stat was made from this image and was used with flip-up acetate sheets for the masthead and cover text to create the published cover image. The original art is lightly toned and in Excellent condition. The production stat cover is in Very Good condition.
