Description

Peter Pan Original Tiger Lilly Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1953). This original production cel features Tiger Lily from Disney's Peter Pan (1953), paired with a color copy screen-grab from the memorable-though now culturally outdated-"What Makes the Red Man Red" song sequence, found near the 50:08 timestamp. In this scene, Tiger Lily sits beside her father, the Big Chief, and Peter Pan, dubbed "Little Flying Eagle," as they celebrate her rescue from Captain Hook with a ceremonial peace pipe. The cel is trimmed to 3.5" x 7.25", with Tiger Lily measuring approximately 6" tall. While the depiction of Native American characters in the film reflects the stereotypes of its time, the artwork remains an authentic artifact from Disney's golden age of animation. The cel is paired with a 14" x 10.5" color screen-grab print for context and visual display. In Fair to Good condition, the cel shows some paint separation in Tiger Lily's hair. A visually striking and historically significant piece for collectors of vintage Disney animation. Note: The Chief and Peter Pan are part of the background.
