Dragon Ball Z Goten Production Cel Setup with Production Background and Animation Drawing (Toei Animation, c. 1993-95). Looking fierce and ready for battle its Goku's youngest son, Goten in this original production cel setup with production background and matching animation drawing from Akira Toriyama's megahit series Dragon Ball Z. As playful, curious, and lighthearted as his father, Goten also looks exactly like Goku when he was younger, except that Goten never had a tail! This nearly-full-figured image of the young half-Saiyan has been hand-painted to a character size of 5" x 7.75". The 12 field cel has been paired with a production background, possibly from the series, that has been rendered in gouache on board measuring 14" x 10". Accompanying the setup is its matching animation drawing rendered in graphite and colored pencil on 12 field animation paper. The cel, drawing, and background each bear production codes along their top edges, primarily in the right corner. Typical studio handling and edge wear including minor surface stains with faint age-related toning to the drawing, linework fading with areas of professional restoration and remaining tape on the cel, and minor corner creasing to the background. Overall this pair is in Very Good condition.
