Mickey's Service Station Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1935). Mickey accidentally traps himself in the rim of a tire in this hilarious group of 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings. This landmark Ben Sharpsteen-directed short was Mickey, Donald, and Goofy's first cartoon together and they definitely delivered as a comedy team! The trio's rush to fix Pete's car before he made them pay with their lives led to comical moments like this, the experts trapped in or pulled through various pieces of the disassembled car. This moment can be found at about the 2:55 mark as Mickey tries to change one of Pete's tires, turning around on all fours as he tries figure out how to get out. These fantastic full figure drawings are rendered in graphite with color pencil and are noted as 133, 146, and 168. They range from around 3'' x 3.25'' to 3.5'' x 3.25'' with one centered on the page. These drawings are in Good to Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, light age-related toning, and faint debris.
