Description

The Whoopee Party Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1932). Featured in this lot is a smiling, apron clad Mickey. He happily slices up a slab of ham for his party guests in this great 12-field animation drawing from the Burt Gillett and Wilfred Jackson-directed short The Whoopee Party. The Great Depression era short was released on 9/17/1932, capturing a bustling party that Mickey throws for his friends. This drawing of the mouse as he prepares a great meal for his guests with Horace Horsecollar and Dippy Dawg can be found at about the 1:31 mark, rendered in graphite with color pencil highlights. The full figure drawing measures about 5.5'' x 4.75'' and is labeled 77 in the bottom right corner. With only minor edge and handling wear, some age-related toning, and a small stain this vintage lot is in Very Good condition.
