Description

The Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show Secret Squirrel and Villain Opening Scene Layout Drawing Original Art (Hanna-Barbera, 1965). "What an agent, what a squirrel! He's got the country in a whirl. What's his name? Shhh... Secret Squirrel!" The squirrel of many faces looks rather nonchalant as a shady bad guy sneaks up from behind, in this rare original 12 field layout drawing. In the opening montage featured in each Secret Squirrel cartoon, we see the aftermath of this image, as our hero swings around and disarms the clad-in-black villain with a judo flip. This tongue-in-cheek animated series appeared at the height of the "spy craze" brought on by the very popular James Bond theatrical film series. This graphite image is within an 8.5" x 6.5" outline box, with approximate figure sizes of 3.5" and 5.5" tall. The drawing is noted as 15 in the upper right, and is in Good to Very Good condition with mild age-related paper toing and handling/edge wear, including a small amount of missing paper in the lower right corner.
