Sleeping Beauty Lackey Animation Drawing Sequence of 5 (Walt Disney, 1959). Princess Aurora's birthday is surely a reason to celebrate, and the Lackey doesn't want to be left behind! Getting into the festive mood, the Lackey shows up in this lot with five animation drawings presenting the cheery servant sneaking a drink of the celebration wine hiding behind his lute, as seen at the 41:02 mark of Sleeping Beauty. Numbered 12, 25, 35, 40, and 66 in the bottom right corner, the drawings have the Lackey done in graphite with drawing 25 also showing some red color penciling. Although part of the sequence, drawing 12 doesn't appear in the film's final scene! Except for drawing 66, all drawings present reinforced pegholes, and drawings 12, 25, and 35 show some wrinkling on the left side. The lot shows light toning with minor handling and edge wear from production. The condition is Good to Very Good.Auction Info
