Description
Dudley Do-Right with Horse, Snidely Whiplash, and Nell Fenwick Scene Cel (Jay Ward, 1988). Mountie Dudley Do-Right rides Horse to the rescue as sneering villain Snidely Whiplash has an angry Nell tied to a tree in this original hand-inked, hand-painted scene cel. As most of Jay Ward Studio production cels wound up in the trash, scene cels like this were the best bet for collectors. They were originally sold at the Dudley Do-Right Emporium at 8200 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, not far from the location of Jay Ward Productions. The figure sizes are approximately 3" to 5" tall. The cel includes a Jay Ward Productions seal and is matted with an opening of 11.5" x 9.5" and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 19" x 17". The wood frame has a gray plastic coating that is beginning to lift off on all four sides, tearing in two places and with a missing chip along the upper left corner. All frames are sold as-is.
