The Flintstones Early Pebbles Color Model Cel Designed by Gene Hazelton (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1960s). Adorable Pebbles Flintstone was the creation of former Disney/Warner Brothers/MGM staff artist Gene Hazelton (1919 - 2005), who was not only a gifted animator and character designer, but also the main artist for the original Flintstones newspaper comic strip. Here's our stone-age cutie Pebbles in an early model cel with three crawling poses, one hand-colored, on a sheet of 12 field 3-peghole animation paper. The addition of Pebbles was a media sensation, boosting the popularity of this primetime animated sitcom. The color image of Pebbles measures approximately 2.25" x 4".
