Description

Ye Olden Days Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1933). "In days of old when knights were bold, and romance had its fling; all hail the royal bride and groom, long live the king!" The battle for Minnie's hand concludes with Prince Poopapadoo (Dippy Dawg, aka Goofy) jumping out a window. In this original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing, Mickey is in a victory lap on his donkey when Minnie signals him to pick her up. This is seen at the 8:02 mark in online viewings of this classic Burt Gillett-directed short, which was released to theaters on 4/8/1933. This drawing is in graphite with two separate images; Mickey's approximate image size is 2.5" x 2.25", while Minnie's size is 2.75" x 2.5". Also included is a graphite animation drawing of the castle window from the scene where Mickey is climbing down a makeshift rope with Minnie, as seen at the 5:21 mark; a studio stamp is in the upper right corner, and the drawing is numbered 119 in the lower right. Condition is Very Good with minor handling and edge wear, and some light age-related paper toning along the edges.
