Description
Garfield: His 9 Lives Cat Production Cel (Film Roman, 1988). "It's simple. All you have to do is look cute! Someone comes in, buys you, takes you home!" Garfield gets some advice from an older cat in the pet store in this flashback from Garfield's early days. This great original, hand-painted 12 field production cel depicts the older cat in the pet store that explains things to Garfield. His image measures about 4" x 4.5". The cel is marked in its lower right corner with C-147, and it is displayed atop a color print background for presentation purposes. It comes with its matching original animation drawing, which is created with graphite and blue pencil on 12 field animation paper. This image can be seen at roughly the 34:39 mark of Garfield: His 9 Lives. The cel and drawing are in Good to Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear from production use. The drawing has minor abrasion from prior paint adhesion.From the Jim Davis Collection.
