Description
Paul Pope - Wolverine Tribute Illustration Original Art (c. 2025). "Okay suckers -- you've taken yer best shot! Now it's MY turn!" As a tribute to artist John Cassaday, Paul Pope created his version of the iconic image of Wolverine in the sewers beneath the Hellfire Club, a panel from The X-Men #132 originally drawn by John Byrne and Terry Austin. Pope nicely captures the feel of the original in this oversized illustration created in ink, graphite, and white paint on Bristol board with an image area of 24" x 15". Smudging and creasing/handling wear. Stamped and signed "After Byrne, for JC" by Pope in the bottom right corner. In Very Good condition.More information about Paul Pope. See also: Pope, Paul Artist.
