We're not sure why torture wheels were in vogue during the 1930s, but they turn up in fan-favorite covers for Weird Tales, Terror Tales, Horror Stories, and many other pulp series. This issue's bondage / torture wheel cover by John Newton Howitt is unique for the number of assailants attacking the central damsel in distress, with all figures appearing as crisp and creepy as ever on this high-grade copy.
