Description
Harvey Kurtzman Playboy February 1988 "Little Annie Fanny" Preliminary Original Art Group of 8 (HMH, 1988). These layout/prelims were for the very last Little Annie Fanny story to appear in Playboy. Kurtzman roasts Actor/Writer/Director Woody Allen in this 6-panel 2-pager as "Woodsy Alvin". Included are the layout/prelims for all six panels, created in color pencil, graphite, and ink on vellum. All six have an image area of 10" x 5". There are two extra pieces. One is a prelim of the prelim for Panel 3. Kurtzman loved a fun unexpected cameo. This extra piece has Annie Hall in the left margin, Mr. Ed, and a gopher. None of which made it into the finished panel. The last "extra" piece is a detailed CAD style drawing of a catapult. The vellum paper is toned and in Very Good condition.More information about Harvey Kurtzman. See also: Kurtzman, Harvey, WEHK Artist.
