Description

Richard Sala Prime Cuts #2 Complete 3-Page Story "The Hidden Face" Original Art (Fantagraphics Books, 1987). A routine errand leads to a ghastly ordeal for a pedestrian with a bandaged face. A classically weird, dreamlike situation from Sala, one of the great Surrealists of the neo-Underground Comix scene of the 1980s-90s. The story reappeared in Sala's solo-showcase anthology of 1992, Hypnotic Tales. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 9.5" x 13.5". Excellent condition, with light toning and occasional white-paint retouching.
