Paul Pelletier Fear Itself: The Fearless #12 Story Page 12 Original Art (Marvel, 2011). Marvel heroes Iron Man and Son of Satan are overwhelmed, leaving the mighty Valkyrie (Brunnhilde) to do battle with a powered-up Destroyer alone! Wearing her finest Asgardian armor, Valkyrie stands defiant as she begins to separate the hulking behemoth from it's multiple sources of power. In the wake of the Fear Itself event, Marvel launched Fearless Defenders in early 2013 and confirmed Valkyrie's bisexuality by way of a passionate kiss with teammate Annabelle Riggs. Tessa Thompson also portrays a bisexual version of Valkyrie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and pushes the boundaries of gender stereotypes by being referred to as King Valkyrie upon assuming command of New Asgard. Graphite over blue pencil on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15". Light smudging/handling wear. Signed and dated by Pelletier in the bottom margin.
