Thanks to a delightful performance from actress Alyson Hannigan on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Willow Rosenberg has become one of the franchise's most popular characters and one of the most prominent lesbians in supernatural fiction. This popularity prompted Dark Horse Comics to spin her off from their comic continuation of the TV series into her own one-shot. We start this fantastic page in the present, with Willow encountering demon sorceress Aluwyn, who would become both her mentor and lover, before flashing to Willow and her girlfriend, Kennedy, in San Francisco three days earlier.
