Description
Space Invaders - VGA 95+ Mint Unopened, Game Boy Taito 1990 JPN. This is the highest-graded copy of the Japanese version of Space Invaders for the Game Boy on VGA's September census, which lists just four examples. This portable adaptation of the 1978 arcade classic brought alien-zapping action to handheld gamers across Japan. The game faithfully preserved the original's core mechanics and minimalist aesthetic while adapting it to the Game Boy's monochrome display. Though simpler than the enhanced Super Game Boy-compatible U.S. release that followed more than three years later, the Japanese game holds historical significance as a first edition.
