Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - VGA 85 NM+ Sealed, Famicom Konami 1989 JPN. Making its debut at Heritage Auctions, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the Famicom is a rarity-there are only two examples listed in VGA's September census. Released in Japan by Konami, this version features distinctive Japanese box art and labeling, setting it apart from the more common NES release. The game blended top-down exploration with side-scrolling action and platforming, offering a mix of strategy and combat as players would guide all four Turtles through New York's streets, sewers, and enemy hideouts. While the game has never been opened, the box shows minor corner and edge wear consistent with age, but it looks very nice overall. The slab says 1990, but this game was released in 1989.Auction Info
