Super Mario USA - VGA 90 NM+/MT Unopened, Famicom Nintendo 1992 JPN. This is a near-mint copy of Super Mario USA for the Famicom-the Japanese version of what Western gamers know as Super Mario Bros. 2. Interestingly, this title didn't reach Japan until 1992, long after its original release in North America. Rather than being a direct sequel, the game was a clever reworking of Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic, with Mario characters replacing the original cast. Players could choose between Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Princess Peach, each offering different strengths and playstyles. With mechanics like picking up and tossing enemies and vertically scrolling levels, Super Mario USA broke away from the action of the original Super Mario Bros. in bold and imaginative ways. Today, it's widely regarded as one of the greatest games of the 8-bit era.Auction Info
